We remembered the guy who was sitting there but didn't know his name or anything else about him. He came back a little later and inquired about it. We had tucked it away in the safe in the office. We gave it back to him and he gave us each $100. Karma is great!
$8,000? Geez. @_@ I definitely would've returned it - at the very least, I would've gotten the cops involved if no one came to claim it.
I've found $40 in the street on my college campus - I looked around to see if anyone was looking or if someone had an open pocket with money sticking out. I feel bad for them, but how would it get returned? There was no camera on that particular section, so yea. :/
