I'm not entirely sure I qualify, my parents are reluctant to tell me what's in my RESP.

Its about time that your parents and you have a talk about their finances. You're an adult, and discussing how their finances will impact your chances at getting financial aid is pretty important towards your post-secondary education.

I had to sift through my parents finances while I was doing my FAFSA and CSS Profiles (in order to qualify for financial aid for schools in the United States), and of course, I found some things in their financial statements that they did not reveal to me previously, for very good reasons. But the good side to this is that it gave me an idea of the possibility of getting financial aid from the schools I'm applying to atm.
