My only problem is that sometimes I miss the beginning of cancel-magic (due to too many damage numbers obscuring it) and so wait too long to magic crash. If I crash on time, it does prevent cancel-weapon.
Zakum is a little more problematic because it doesn't do its buffs on such a fixed schedule.
If I miss my cast by a second or two (due to miscounting or lag), I see what the OP sees, alternating cancel-weapon and magic-crash icons on the boss.
