I have made 3 epic items and they took 8, 6, and 28 cubes. Nothing else I'm wearing has even been cubed that often... so I guess I'm lucky, considering my budget (about 20 cubes a month)
No VPQ means the only items I'm interested in buying are inflating right now (tradeable pendant/belt, plus weapons), so I have nothing to cube.
