Anyway, I had a pretty terrible 1st game. I was lagging for a bit and we had a Shaco who dced early game. After that it was mostly just us struggling to stem their advance. We were able to push them back a few times, but in the end the combination of item + levels + an extra person were just too much. We did stick to it til the end though.
Second started out slow, and not the best, but I got some early kills in, and only a few deaths. I managed to kill their Yi a few times, and generally one on one, I think he killed me maybe once late game after I was out of mana. Never let my kills drop below my deaths, but I still could have done better. I imagine I'll get better with practice, but I don't want to get too attached to Yi given the many other champion choices out there. I also wasted an ult a couple of times, and was focused on early on in one team fight so I didn't do much before I died. I made up for it later game though, pushing mid while the rest pushed bottom, and scoring and helping score some fairly important kills. All in all, not a bad first day of real playing.
Yi sneaking around to kill undefended turrets in a 4v5 situation is about the only thing that can be done. Good call.
A Yi tip I wish the guy I was playing with earlier today knew: Alpha strike can go to an enemy champ even if you target a minion, but then you won't fly into the champ at the end. Good way to harass in the early game when there's a few minions around.
