If the lapis blocks dropped more than just one dye, like redstone blocks drop 4-5 things of dust, then it'd be awesome.
Gold is pretty useless, yeah, lol. . . My friend had a mod installed before that when you break a golden compass (the one that keeps track of day & night), that it would instantly be daylight time. That's the only use Gold ores had on our server, but that was it. I just used Gold to craft armor, for the most part, since it's.. useless.
