Well, I guess I must contribute for as many warm fuzzies as I can get since the icy cold disappointment I received when realizing this was not Nexon "official" has frozen me to the core or if you wish, insert some other tundra cold hyperbola.
A full reinstatement of the bonuses would be desired but not necessary for my contentment, a resolution and the delivery of compensation as promised is what I am really looking for. No lying and stalling and running around the problems; if you need testers to determine the best bonus to apply, SP has plenty of mathematicians to give you straight numbers and plenty of experienced AM players for you to throw into a Tespia. If you are trying to determine a fair monetary or NX-based compensation, there are plenty to survey here and elsewhere to the value of their weapons. Do not even try to whine about liars, I am sure a "1M NX pl0x" suggestion would be excluded from a sample pool. If you need to know how to recode the bonuses back in, it is done. We figured out Error 38, SP is full of consultants available for this problem and I'd be willing to bet that many would work for free.
KMS may have raised a mage's profile a bit and they can be lauded for their best efforts, but they have failed at the initial balancing in Big Bang; Buccaneers come to mind as an example of this. I know plenty will disagree and the 4th Job DPS thread through the most recent pages are enough to represent this, but for me, I'd prefer a box of saltines in terms of boringness of similar DPS across the classes than what we currently have. I know Chaos does some things to rebalance the classes but I am not currently focused on what may come but what we have, I'll leave that to another day.
It has been mentioned that changing the skills to implement balance is what is most needed and I definitely do not disagree, but GMS has not shown the capacity to implement these changes without first implementation in KMS and thus it lies with weapons where changes have occurred previously to provide these changes. Although I am aware many of you realize this, but the M.ATT of the 163 Staffs don't make them overpowered since the Wand/Staff multiplier pretty much take care of that when compared to other weapons. Someone will invariably think the last statement was directed towards them, it was not, don't bother commenting and huffing and puffing that you understand.
Aside from solutions like 10%/5% boost and others mentioned in this thread, if the weapons provided some sort of ignore MDR value (stackable), that would be fine with me. F/P's have a great assortment of ignore MDR skills in DoTs, but the lack of an innate ignore rate or skills among magicians in general are a great hinderence in our damage especially considering PDR and MDR rates are the same for a monster. Of course this is another balancing issue to be handled at another time, but it illustrates changes that can were not considered and could be applied to E.Weapons.
I would accept your line of reasoning even if I do not agree with your gambling association if not for your incorrect statement of the quote above. Big Bang was not designed without elemental bonuses in mind, it was designed without elemental bonuses and without the weapons. I'm not not merely playing with a semantic argument here; how can a change in E.Weapons in GMS be justified by using KMS when they do not even exist and thus could not be taken into account. If anything, looking to JMS for JMS originals should be the method that should be taken and if I am not mistaken, it is what we did for various mobs throughout.
I suppose that unless I have additional complaints to a patch (Galicia MTS, etc.) I will now refrain from solely mentioning E.Weapons in any subsequent SC, Patch, etc. thread out of respect to the intention of this thread. However, I will continue to complain and will list this if I am making lists of unresolved issues.
