Because unlike KMS we also kept world tour and other things native to our own locale, or imported from other locales, and JMS itself, where the weapons are from, kept them and kept bonuses on them, even if lesser bonuses.
You keep calling it a gamble when it wasn't, isn't and should've been.
Getting them was a gamble. Keeping them should never be without advanced warning.
