If you go to any major boss like Zakum,, Horntail, Pink bean and such and you have experienced game glitches and disconnects try these and see if you have issues:
1. Add MapleStory.exe to the DEP exclusion list.
2. Use this method to re-program the default amount of Swap Space allowance http://www.southperry.net/showthread.php?t=36795 (this method is not supported and could cause problems)
3. Disable your audio card in device manager.
You also should make sure the permissions for MapleStory are correct as well if you are not the primary PC user, or you are an administrator user with UAC enabled.
