Its only because her mother works weekends that we can actually go out and stuff >_>; otherwise my only chance to see her is for an hour or so after she finishes uni for the day.

I can sympathise with the "no dating til later" thing that parents seem to try and uphold. My parents once told me they didn't want me to really think about dating until I was in my 20s. They weren't very strict about it, which was kind of them.

I think your situation is all the more reason that you should choose something that might appear "small" to others even if your heart is bursting. Remember...
