Can't believe I'm linking to Newgrounds, but the animator has some interesting thoughts on the project.

I never expected him to be contracted to Nexon, or even Nexon noticing that his animations for maplestory are top notch. o-o

But it's all good, he's a great artist and Nexon did a good thing by taking him on.
