Should a Warrior starts pumping DEX for the new equips?

With the equips already mentioned, 43 base dex would be enough to equip the level 140 gear. (the equips all add huge amounts of dex, so having 170 without them on is an atrocious waste of stats)

Since I have a 15 dex earring but only a 5 dex belt, I'll put that on and my 35 base dex would be enough.


I would say definitely do not add dex now. Buy dex gear maybe.

What now? Since when do you not need to have the DEX requirement to equip something? As far back as I can remember, you must have the requirement before equiping an item. Example: The level 140 gear requires 170 DEX. You must have 170 DEX before being able to equip it. Let's assume you have 160 DEX and earrings that add 10 DEX. You can equip a level 140 weapon assuming that your old one did not have any DEX on it that added to the 160 DEX. Additionally, if you're equiping the entire set and those earrings and then unequip the earrings, all equips turn red and are "unequiped" because you no longer meet the minimum. Unless this changed post-BB or post-Chaos, it's been this way since the dawn of Maple time. If you have 43 DEX and the equips give you a bonus 127 DEX to meet 170 DEX, you cannot wear the equips since you did not first meet the DEX requirement prior to equipping them.
