aka LoL has a high learning curve of doom. Fortunately, matchmaking systems match you up with people of the appropriate skill level, so you don't exactly have to worry too much about needing to read up on everything before playing.

This. Though, watch out for high-level players that are on their low-level accounts (us LoL players call them "smurf accounts"). You can easily tell smurf players if they are dominating like nuts.
