[gMS]1 Month of Big Bang: Your thoughts/review now?
#47
Big bang definitely started off the wrong way in my books, when I lost 10% exp right off the bat (so leveling is to be easier, but I LOSE %?), and it came across as Nexon being lazy, implementing KMS exp tables without the consideration of a previous exp curve they'd given us. That being said, I still stick to my original take on big bang, that it was a lot of change with nothing actually getting better.

1. Yes, characters are stronger, but so are the monsters. Yes we need less exp to level, but monsters also give less exp.
2. Overall, the movement of Victoria left me a bit confused at first, but again, it was just moving a lot of stuff around, with no great improvement, at least for someone 16x like myself.
3. I do actually appreciate the change to monster levels to make the increases more "logical", making going deep into nath challenging (to some degrees), and updating monster levels so that they arent a joke anymore. It was fun for at least 15 minutes, going around and slaughtering lycans now that there was a map filled with them, and spawning ww for fun. However, I dislike the new accuracy formula, because, as an archer, that was the defining part of the game, which is now gone.
4. I liked how they made most maps trainable now, some of them without losing their gigantic size which made them fun to explore (Ex. Deep Ludi maps) by adding portals at the bottom that tele you to the top.

Overall, big bang was what it was advertised: a lot of changing stuff around. I could definitely see why it appeals to people (especially 7x people who had nowhere to train because of the gap that was there initially. I mean...death teddies gave 1.3k for 30k hp, roids gave like 300 exp for 8k hp, then tauromacis gave like...400 exp for 20k hp or something...totally not practical to train on), but for myself personally, as a casual 16x player, it hasnt made leveling easier for me, and while some things were interesting, my interest in them died fast.

Ps. I'm just curious, how many people are left on you guys' buddy lists. When big bang first came, I saw like...20 people online (this is a 3-4 year old buddy list) including people I never thought I'd see again. After a month, many have left again, and I only have like...5-10 people online at max again. The game was definitely teeming the first week after, but how many of those people are still left?
