Do the instructors cast zombify as well or just the empress? If they don't, it seems bishops can be of more use when she summons those guys. Not necessarily spamming heal as it'll drain MP, but using it once every couple of seconds or so can do some good. After the instructors are defeated, I'd probably recommend using smokescreen and such on the empress herself and not risking heal due to zombify.
