Jumping where I left off in the other topic, but never got a reply; about what should one expect from their computer in order to run a server properly?

Nearly got my spawn castle done and am putting in the consideration of trying a server for a while. Also got that better light mod and am currently looking into MCEdit. Notch needs more stickies in his forums since I'm having a bit of trouble looking certain things up. I still need to find the mods you used in that last server to allow warping, changing spawn location, and disallowing construction in certain areas.

Oh, and if I do decide to make the server as I mentioned before, everyone is allowed one creative structure and the remainder would be survival. Looking at MCEdit, I could throw in a pre-created structure if you guys upload your maps, jump on the server, and tell me where to put it. I have the main exit of the spawn castle completed, but I also left a small open area underground to be used as a station for whenever people are ready to connect their homes.

Can't guarantee I'll get to this immediately, but getting the info on preparation never hurts.
