How did you started listening to the music genres that you enjoy today?

It was a slow convergence over time:

Rap --> Top 40 --> 90's Metallica --> 80's Metallica --> Symphony X --> Darkane --> Dying Fetus --> Everything metal

I still can't imagine you listening to Rap at all.. I don't know many people that went from Rap to anything similar to Metal. They're just so different!
