My observation of auras: There's some kind of 3-second check for all your auras (reminds me of Diablo 2...), so when you CC, the aura disappears for 3 seconds and reappears after that. Noted this because you will almost always have your aura as the lastest "buff" on your screen.
But no if you add more points to your Aura you have to recast it... the refresh doesn't update the damage change for e.g. DA.
