Any company or product you frequent is by choice. If you want a specific product or service you have to go to the company that actually has it. You're not turning this into a free will debate.
By your standards if I buy a 50$ red lobster gift card at Walmart and Red Lobster screws up my order I'm not their customer I'm walmart's customer so they have no obligation to care about me? Your logic needs work.
There are many free MMO's that offer infinitely more interactive and friendly customer service too. Several of which you can open a live chat with a GM right out of the blue even. Saying that there are worse providers is irrelevant. We're talking about this one.
