Locked Wrote:Couple of things for your fucked up math to realize. It seems I struck a nerve. Aw...
1. Holy crap, a 2.65% buff for something that is right now, by the looks of it, impossible to get. MY GOD. WHAT AN INCREASE. I MUST PUMP 166 STATS TO GET A 2.65% INCREASE USING YOUR ASSUNED NUMBERS.
2. Your weapon attack is too low to even be considered.
3. Dear God, the damage formula doesn't follow BASE stat, it follows TOTAL stat.
4. WHERE'S THE DEX IN THE FORMULA?
If you're going to prove me wrong by using your illogical numbers, at least try to do it right next time.
1. Holy crap, learn to read. As I said, the boost would be bigger if you have Dex equipment. Also, in that example,
2. Is it? Because, while I can't speak for everyone, I'm pretty sure I have a less than 200 W.Atk right now.
3. No pomegranate. However, the primary source of primary stats now is Potential. Would you like me to explain how percents work?
--- If you have 1000 base STR and 100% STR from Potential, then take 166 out of your base, your total STR is now 1668. 1668/2000 = 0.834
--- If you have 1000 base STR and 5000% STR from Potential, then take 166 out of your base, your total STR is now 42534. 42534/51000 = 0.834
--- So, again, I'm not sure what your major malfunction is.
4. I explained quite clearly why it's not there. Again, reading should not be that damn difficult.
If you would like, you can give me your current stats (base stats, total attack, Potential stats, etc) and I can prove you wrong the "right" way.
Locked Wrote:I honestly did. I should probably use bold instead of caps lock since it seems like I'm ... "yelling"Again, the numbers I left out were insignificant and would actually support the use of the item.
My point was that what's the point of arguing using math if the numbers are totally incorrect and moot?
Locked Wrote:Once again missing my point entirely. It's come to the point that I don't even mind. There's a difference between "praising" and "acknowledging the usefulness of".
You're all sitting here, praising these items without knowing anything about how to obtain them or how to get them. It's obvious that getting this set is harder than getting a full Timeless set, so the effort put into receiving the entire set is going to be great. There have been people on here talking about how raising the cap just for these items is so worth it that they're even planning to do it, without even knowing how to receive the items. Have any of you given any thought about how this "set" would par if you didn't have the complete set? You're all looking at the last bonus without thinking about the other ones in its entirely. Anyway I'm done talking about it because obviously this isn't going anywhere everyone here can have fun raising their stats in disappointment, I don't mind.
You said the items would not be worth the secondary stat; I proved you wrong. Changing your argument doesn't change your initial justification.
I'm well aware that getting a full set will be hell.
For the same reason, I wasn't ready to dump my current equips in anticipation of Van Leon equips because that'd be moronic.
Had you posted this from the start, we'd have no argument. Problem is, you chose instead to say something stupid.
Dusk Wrote:On-topic, I find the MS stat system agonizingly dumb and outdated. There is virtually no reason to add anything but your primary stat except for a few points into your secondary stat to equip items, and if a future release of an item that adds more secondary stat, you have to AP Reset to fix your problem. The entire system needs an overhaul.Fully agreed.
Big Bang took a lot of steps in the right direction, but there are still plenty of steps to go.
Granted, I honestly have no concrete ideas on how to improve the system, but I do believe every stat should have a purpose.
I'm liking some of the suggestions for how secondary stats could be made more useful.
