Anyone else's computers running much louder/hotter after the Dec 20th patch?

One thing I noticed is that when in windowed mode, if I click outside (or alt-tab) the MS window, MS freezes for a moment then continues running as normal. However, yesterday (during 2x ffs) I alt-tabbed like 3 times and it simply froze, showing a "(not responding)" status, and it remained like that until I killed it with the task manager.

Yeah, and OT: my laptop was getting hot already even before 12/20. I'm on W7 BTW.
