In my experience, they want excitement. An pimento acts in ways unpredictable to the girl, which makes her want him. A nicer guy acts in ways predictable, and resultantly she may not want him.
However, when the girls start settling down, they (typically) want the nicer man, except if they're idiots. Past a certain point a girl gets sick of random hook-ups in bars and whatnot; and not all of them want a wifebeater to marry and raise their children.
I must be rare breed, I never hang out at pubs and clubs, heck, I've never been to one in my life. Maybe because I don't try to make myself stand out, so I never grabbed attention of the badasses. Not like I want attention from them in the first place. Somewhere in me has the desire for excitment, but so far I have only ever dated nicer guys, and they treat me like a princess.
