Go on. Find one. Try. Assuming 4 mafians, the mafia wins in 3 kills. Synthesist would've been 1. Night kill with no doctor is 2. That leaves only a single mislynch and the mafia wins. Why would I abandon a position like that simply to get myself killed, if I were mafia? There is absolutely NOTHING to gain from it.
