@ Khoi: Interesting. I would expend effort in planning courses so that I could be able to follow the path of least resistance as that seems to net you the best results. I'm surprised that a sociology class swindled you. I would imagine that if anyone would enjoy that course and do well in it, it would be you. Again I don't want to hijack this thread into a guidance counselor session, however I am concerned when fellow members are having trouble with courses and are able to improve upon their situation in the future.

@ Harrison: Good show Harrison. Biochemical techniques as a freshman must have been difficult. Critical writing is often hit or miss depending on the professor teaching the course. Overall good job for the semester.

In all honesty, and don't get me wrong here.. I enjoy discussing topics that deals with sociology because it expands my knowledge and broadens my views. Problem here is that the professor made it extremely uninteresting for me, I didn't really understand why he was relating every. single. topic with prostitution. I was actually complaining about this to other classmates, and they agreed that the guy is a bit of a wacko. I really think my interest in the course, as well as the professor's way of teaching can greatly impact my grades. I really can't pull up my transcript and just scan it, then put it up on here or anything.. but I can say that with teachers that are more determined to "teach" the students, instead of babbling on about their personal lives, tends to help me do better.

I'm not one to actually say that I'm a studious person either, really, I'm not. I just observe and learn better, that's just the type of student that I am. See it once or twice, learn it. I tend to get bored easily cracking open a book and trying to memorize things, as this never worked during my previous 3 years in college. I've pretty much gotten up to this point because I learn by observations, rather than reading things and gaining information that way.

I wish I could change the way I am, honestly. I think it'd make my life a lot easier.

PS: This even applies to how I play competitive video games, I read things, but it doesn't sink in as well unless I observe something in action a couple of times before I fully understand how it works.
