They were together because they agreed to go somewhere where they could do so in peace. I don't think Haru would take up the deal just because it meant splitting to 2 of them apart.

One of the theories says that Akira found them dead, and the rich girl forged the email in order to not let Kozue think it was her fault.

Hmmm, thats very possible. Going over the scene also, Haru asks "are we alive?" and there is no answer. Going by the subtleties in their meeting up, it does seem that way.

Also, the part with the one guy and Nao, he says that they are trying to be happy. It really does seem like they are trying to keep them alive for Kozue, but you can tell from how she looks when they read the text that she doesnt believe fully that they are alive.


King of Thorns - Im sort of breathless after watching this. It was an amazingly beautifully done movie, even with the parts that used CG animation, it look just beautiful. The story can be hard to follow at times though (im pushing this as some things lost while reading the subs) but its is also an amazingly beautiful story. I really really hope they end up dubbing this, a dub that will fit for it, and bringing it over.
