An average computer you would see in the year 2000, yup I am using a Windows 2K, but upgraded to Windows XP which makes it even laggier since I haven't upgraded any of the CPU and stuff.
How do you intend to use this new part or new computer? What's the heaviest load it's likely to encounter?
Gaming, not Crysis-like intensive, but able to play a large variety of MMORPG/FPS
