At the same time, my mages aren't really good at... anything anymore. They arent great at training... and they arent going to be used at bosses (i never expected that). Weapon attackers are so strong now that they dont need to bother with bringing mages (same story, different patch). Bossing aside. Training is awful now. I'm all for the ult cool down. Ults made the class boring. Putting the cool down on ults though mixed with the weak planning of the other attacks, equaled to about the mess i figured it would be. I now gain 1% an hour at oblivion on a mage that can one/two hit everything.

I agree, but I don't think causing AM's to have powerful damage will solve the bossing issue. Bumping up damage makes it so the classes meant to do straight damage and nothing else are no longer needed, which would cause the exact same problem current around for AM's, for everybody else. I think the solution would be to give mages higher utility, like Battle Mages and Bishops have, the skills needed by parties to work to full potential. Of course, since if this was going to happen at all it would have happened for the BB balance changes, so AM's can consider themselves dead in the water there.
While nexon really, really should have mentioned the Elem. weapon change, it wouldn't have changed much for most players. If announced, the prices would have flopped then, instead of after the patch, and the only way that anybody could sell them at the previously high price, would be to find somebody who lives under a rock...or four.
