AKA rehash of the Vizard arc. You have the leader (Shinji, Jugou), the loli (Hiyori, maid girl), you have the super calm guy (Hachi, Butler dude)
The captains said that this is the case. Anyone with lieutenant (vice-captain) rank has high enough reiatsu to effect the surroundings and the people of the real world. Ichigo has captain class reiatsu so it's not surprising that the people he hangs with have powers, or can see spirits. Now why Ichigo started to get reiatsu back anyways is beyond me, cause no body except for Ishin and Urahara (maybe Yoruichi too but we don't know if she's still in the real world or back in SS) has high enough reiatsu to leak out into him.
Ichigo still has his hollow half. After the whole Vizard ordeal he's gained mastery over it, and with his becoming the spirit of Getsuga to take down Aizen he lost his shinigami powers. I bet somewhere along the line those guys will say that they're hollows who've had their holes filled in, a.k.a. become whole.
I've long since fantasized with such a scenario.
