How are unfunded/normal dits at later levels now? Are they able to train at a decent pace or do they still have damage problems if not equipped with an ATT shield and whatnot?
I ask because I want to make a normal bandit (well, I already have one). I'm not going to spend too much on it because I just want it for fun. That and I just can't buy any of the crap to make a half funded bandit anyway. FM prices are just insane nowadays. >_>

My bandit was semifunded in that my cousin gave me his equips when i got to level 90, but before that i had 81 base dex and 20 base strength without a zhelm till level 70 pre -BB. If you have one already and want the character for funsies, i assume you already have another class? transfer over the common equips and go mess around. If you can CWKPQ, you can bonus stage for a regular khanjar (if you're lucky. that's how i got mine) and not worry about the shield. You don't need to spend to have fun

As for other equips: don't worry about that too much. Just hunt for drops and try to find them pre-potentiald. they're free and the only work you have to do is training!
