Sounds like SCGs after the potential system was introduced. The SCG became just about worthless overnight even though people have spent a lot of money getting it. This is not the first time that this has happened, and I doubt it will be the last.

The items you have today will absolutely suck in two years. That's the way Maplestory works to keep you playing, and it's unfortunate that things like this happen.

Isn't this how most MMORPGs work?
Your current equips will either be obsolete once expansions come in, or you'll have to upgrade it by ridiculous amounts to keep up.
Even games like WoW work by adding bigger and badder equipment to make older ones obsolete.

I guess you don't notice it much on KMS because even up until now, people are still using the same equips as they did a few years ago, just with a few more scrolls and potentials popped on it.
