The least they could do is restore the losses. Although it's possible those people will have a chance at being a target again. I'm guessing they should do something of the sort like this : "Until we fix this issue, we will not restore accounts as they can end up being targeted again."
I mean, it's understandeable that if someone with 1B or something got hacked, it could ruin the economy, since the person hacked will get rollbacked, which means there'll be another 1B. Etc, etc, etc
But, still, not doing anything about it...simple compensation. It isn't that hard >.>, and it would get the people to quiet down about the issues.
