Tokyo Area to Ban "Adult" Manga and Anime
#4
It's only in Tokyo. Though it may cause some titles from being done the way the artist intends for it to be done, I don't think it'll have too much of an effect on the industry. There have been too many ero-focused titles recently anyway, I think it's the perfect time to take a bit of a break from 7 ero series per season.

Anyway I hope they fight this. I mean, I don't care for some of the stuff they're banning (loli and shota), but if what they're saying is true (I have some reservations as the writer seems biased by the way that he writes) so much stuff can fall under the categories for "bannable" (which apparently seems to include any LGBTQ material as I see it, as anything depicting any form of action) that the government could probably use it to get rid of anything that criticizes them and they don't agree with. The less censorship the better.

I'd rather there be less censorship as well, but at the same time I'm not making too big of a deal about it. At least not now anyway.
