0^2 is right. The weapon formula has been changed which means no Slash and Stab formula.
Some weapons have the same damage multiplier (Example: Damage multiplier for Two-Handed Sword, Two-Handed Axe, and Two-Handed Blunt Weapon is 1.32, and Spear and Pole Arm damage multiplier is 1.49) which means some weapons with the same attack power (and stats that raise your attack power depending on what class you are) will have the same damage range as each other (Minimum and Maximum) and DPS/DPM if they have the same Weapon Speed as well.

My Ribgol Sword and Colonian Axe both give 8 STR and 114 Attack Power, which means you'll deal the same damage with them. However, since Ribgol Sword is Fast-5 and Colonian Axe is Normal-6, Ribgol Sword has a big advantage on both DPS and DPM.
