"Hello, God? It's me again.
Look, I know you're probably busy helping out others, or working in mysterious ways, or even just sitting back on a cloud and not doing anything. That's fine, it is. I thought I'd just let you know I am still here and am looking for some help. You know, I wonder if my mom's up in Heaven with you, or if she's not. Can you please tell me somehow? Also, my legs keep getting weaker with every passing day. Doctors say that eventually I'll need to get confined to a wheelchair for the rest of my life. I know I asked you for the support to get through this and I'm scared, but I know you'll get around to me eventually and help give me the courage to pull through it. Also, there's a girl a few rooms over, the doctors say that she's got cancer, but that it isn't dangerous now. God, can you please help her pull through too? She's a really funny girl, and the few times I've been allowed to play with her were really fun. She's really good at checkers, and I like playing checkers with her. God, can you find it in your heart to please help her? It's kind of lonely here. The nurses usually only come in here every few hours to change my pan, then give me my medicine, then leave. It gets lonely in here at night. God, I know I'm asking for a lot but can you help out the man in the bed across from me? All he does is sleep. Nurses come in and check up on him a lot whenever the machine he's tied to starts to beep loudly. I think they said he was in a car accident and is in a coma. God, can you help him stay alive? I'd like to have another friend to talk to so I don't get lonely. But I'm probably asking for too much now. So God, can you please just help out the girl instead? I'll be fine if I can't use my legs anymore, but I don't want to lose a friend.
