I don't know if they changed that but that's how it was. Also, even as a beginner, how much int you have effects how much MP you gain when you level up. So at level 7, you can leave the island and get int stuff to gain a few extra MP for HP washing... though I don't know who scrolls int things for level 7 and under equips. Even lukless magicians scroll level 10 and up
Nope, that was changed. You get your SP now.
The HP loss isn't that significant....as long as you don't get a beginner to 30 or something. If you get to 15 or so you're fine. I don't see the point though, since getting to 15 is childs play with any character including pirates. (Honestly, it didn't take more than 3 hours getting to 15, and i was dead broke. Couldn't afford bullets lol)
