Stuck patching to v.93

It can't update MapleStory.exe if the game is running.

Recently, when the game crashes or disconnects, it doesn't completely exit - you need to open the Task Manager (through ctrl+alt+del or ctrl+shift+esc) and end it.

I opened my Task Manager and saw that maplestory.exe was running, so i ended it. Now the patcher is still stuck at the same point, and it doesn't look like it's about to move anytime soon. Do i have to wait or can i end it with my task manager? Or do i have to redownload maple again if i end it right now (because it's almost done patching already)?
