I honestly wouldn't have been surprised if it was an actual article, with the crappy news articles we're fed all the time. I wasn't going to check if it was a real entry or not, because it seems pretty much like a legitimate story.
They should have used Fox News for the website instead of CNN though. That would have made it 100% believable.
