Operation: Holiday Cheer.
#1
Southperry, it is nearly December, which means it's time to start thinking of those less fortunate then ourselves. With the current situation across the globe, there's no better time, I feel, to start this project. The war in the Middle East, tensions in the Korean peninsula, unemployment and homelessness on the rise, poverty and the global economy going crazy... there's no better time to try and spread some good cheer and hope.

What I am asking those who would like to participate is this:

-Write some phrases that would instill hope into others,
-Write a paragraph or two that would be considered motivational and/or uplifting,
-Write anything that would make this holiday season something not so sad.

The objective of this goal is to have a collaborative piece, written by the users of this site, and spread across as many mediums as possible. Each person who contributes will be accredited with their participation in this effort and be responsible for the distribution of the final outcome.

I'd like for those who are interested in this to post here doing so, and to join in whenever they can and contributing whatever they want that fits the model of "spreading hope and happiness." The deadline/cutoff for any and all entries I'd like to have be the 19th of December, and at that time all those who wish to do so can collaborate with me to finalize a work that combines the collective well wishes of everyone who participated. This would last until the 24th of December, and on the 25th everyone will be able to spread the final effort across as many networks as they so choose, whether it be a personal blog, through facebook, myspace, emails, whatever.

If you participate however, I ask that you include in the final draft your first name and last initial if you would want to be credited with having taken part in this project. If you would not like to do so then we can arrange another way to give you the credit you deserve and earned for undertaking this project.

Now, I am entirely serious with this. This is no joke (hence, why not in the funhouse), and this is not some game (hence, why not in the games forum). I thank anyone who chooses to help spread some joy and well being this December, 2010.
