Swerve Wrote:In my opinion, watching does nothing if you don't become active. There are plenty of things to consider during D1 already without accounting for the behavior. For example, how many mafia members are there?
Making assumptions just leads to more confusion. In previous games, we have made assumptions this early in the game and most are wrong.
Swerve Wrote:It seems like there is just Batman. But Kajiti's silenced status seems to indicate that Batman might have a silencer attribute or Batman could be traditional mafia man with Robin as silencer. In a game of 19, it seems that there should at least be two to three mafia hitmen. If I were mafia, I might hide one of my members among the quiet people I aforementioned while have the other two play more active roles.
The hiding a member is a common strategy and it almost always happens. As for the number of mafia, we probably have 6 threats in total. (5 mafia/1neutral or 4 mafia/2neutrals) We normally have 4-5mafia depending how big the game is. My guess would be: Batman, Red Robin, another Robin, and Batgirl-with a few neutrals.
Swerve Wrote:If anyone wants to counterclaim then they SHOULD ****ING POST A COUNTERCLAIM.
This is obvious. Most mafia member stay quiet about their abilities. In the mafia games I have played here, no person has counterclaimed. The Mafia here usually doesn't take roles unless they know its safe.
Swerve Wrote:Inactives seriously cripple town. I'm honestly debating that it might be best to just lynch inactive players or hope that some of them don't respond so that they get kicked from the game. Because they are absolutely useless in terms of information gathering. The inactives I listed above count to 9. Therefore actives would be 10. If we lynch an active (i.e. Corn, Holypie) and mafia lynch an active then the count for actives will be 8. This is not an ideal situation as you are able to observe trends in active players and can hope to trap mafia with either lie-telling, behavior, or other behavior based factors. If they are scum, then they still might reveal themselves through gameplay.
Most mafia here are careful, they don't make mistakes. The same could be said for Overactive players. They tend to sway the townie, as seen in other mafia games. Similarly how Synthesist will probably be townie and the townies are being tricked. The maifa is probably tricking Corn(if he is town) by playing on his dislike of Synthesist. If Synthesist was mafia I think that all the maifa would try to sway the town. They would only need 2 votes for someone else to get no lynch. Then they just got us down to 13ish player if they get a night kill.
Swerve Wrote:In conclusion, inactive players you should honestly either consider not posting at all leading to suicide or should get active, now. As you are right now, you are a liability that should be lynched. The only better lynch target than you is mafia. Therefore my consideration for hunting inactives as mafia. Therefore I may also change my vote to an inactive (i.e. Synthesist, Caotic, so on and so forth) if they do not seriously participate. But then again he doesn't give a ****. Why the **** would you join a game where you don't give a ****. ****.
First off its Chaotic...just say CJ if you can't spell it. Now, going after inactives is the same as saying "Lets go after the active because they talk to much and are suspicious." As most of you know, death is the only way we know if a player is telling the truth. I think most people know you just trying to get us to post to get us to make a mistake. Most of us don't. Right now we can only go on hints or our gut feelings. Even if we think that someone is something, we can not be to sure. If you feel so strongly about killing inactive you have your chance. Go along with the mafia and vote for Snythesist. If Synthesist is mafia, he probably was just a useless role and is being used to gain the trust of the town, since the mafia could save him. With that I am saying I probably won't vote unless I see a good reason to.
