Took a look at Fraps, did several test runs with it on LoL, and it surprisingly works like a charm at 30 fps! (without recording, game runs at 60 fps during light to moderate actions) The quality of the videos are also fairly acceptable; better than live-streams, but probably worse than HD, not sure (1680x1050, just over 1 GB, 30 seconds). My hopes to make game videos is a lot closer.
However, I'm hoping to have several options when doing some production, and I would like to hear some opinions. I'm looking for screen capture software, and video editing software. What Fraps offers is acceptable, but one complaint I already have is whether it can record desktop actions.
