I'd say 1 Assaulter, max Band of Thieves, max Shadow Partner, then some Flash Jump (req. 5 Assaulter) if you're training on big maps. Then get a mix of Pick Pocket (req. 3 Meso Explosion) and Meso Explosion. Enough Pick Pocket to a point where you're liking the amount of coins dropping that you can use ME every now and then (maybe even max Pick Pocket with 3 ME). Dropping coins yourself is not cost-effective, and I don't think you should be blowing up the money monsters normally drop because that's definitely not cost-effective.
Meso Explosion training requires Shadow Partner and Pick Pocket to achieve enough coins to be effective, so you're basically required to go Band of Thieves first unless you want to drop coins, which is slower than Steal training.
If you want to save on some potions, get 1 Meso Guard early, but it should never be a life or death situation without Meso Guard in 3rd job. Dark Flare isn't particularly useful since monsters miss you so often, leave it for last.
Brings you to about 5 Assaulter, 1 Flash Jump if you want to eat the mana cost for 1 Flash Jump, maxed Band of Thieves, maxed Shadow Partner, maxed Pick Pocket, maxed Meso Explosion, 3 Chakra, 1 Meso Guard at around 97? So you can choose to max either Flash Jump or Assaulter next. Flash Jump saves on mana costs. Assaulter just hurts monsters a bit more as you use it to position yourself. Mobs at that level range don't particularly suite Assaulter much in the training style other than to position yourself, particularly to go up platforms, and Flash Jump usually suits itself better for positioning. Meso Guard can come earlier if you want to save some more potions. Left over points can go into maxing Chakra to save a bit of potions for its ridiculously long cast time, Dark Flare for some very miniscule DPS at bosses, or some Shield Mastery for some epic defense, although 1300% of some bosses damage may be more worthwhile than the defense. Get at least 1 Shield Mastery so you can have +skills or Combat Orders affect it.
@ Dusk you forgot maxed Assaulter? It's pretty important.
