Unscheduled Server Maintenance - 11.23.10

Let's look at the monster book issue in the most simplest terms possible:

For reference, the patch notes from the time of Monster Book's removal. Not that it means much considering it was translated automatically and we all know how terribly inaccurate google translate can be.

At any rate, look at the items on that list, and the other threads related to Big Bang. Think of all the things that were temporarily removed, or changed, or edited, etc. over the course of the big bang testing. Out of everything that was taken out at some point, ALL of it was returned in some form before Big Bang concluded its official release with one exception - Monster Book. If that's not proof enough for you, I don't know what is. It's entirely possible they'll revisit the concept at *some* point in the future, after all someone had to like it. It's just that the odds of them still having all that data in a usable form at this point seems pretty low. Even if it does return, we won't have any of our previous work credited. In all likelihood the system will be so different in execution that it will be all but unrecognizable, except for the underlying concept.

Is that really still monster book if it comes out after a year's absence, unrecognizable in appearance and without any previous effort still recorded in it? I'd say the answer's probably the same as the answer to "Can swordstaker make a post with a logical well-thought out argument and no insults?"
