You might want to look through some better history books before you over simplify things. Germany played a part in the start of WW1 to be sure, but the conflict date back several hundred years before WW1 broke out. WW2 is nothing but a continuation of the crap that went down during WW1, and during the treaty of Versailles the french leaders made sure to pave the way for the ill fortunes that gave Hitler and the nazis power by screwing Germany over beyond what some can call justice. Of course the conflict between Germany and France is way older than this, so it was hardly surprising. /end history lesson.
Oh and be glad you aint one of my history students, this would have dropped your grade.
