Actually, the only thing faster than Magic Missile is Double Fire. Dragon Thrust is the same speed as Avenger. Magic Flare is the speed cap for most characters. If single target damage weren't worthless, I would say Magic Flare is severely overpowered for its level, but it's just a little too strong. Dragon Thrust is a bit overpowered though. Especially if you consider that he's using it to train at 120. Earthquake is fine where it's at, if not still too slow, considering how Dragon Thrust is more useful.
