How can you be not sure if single target training is worse than mob training?
I honestly think your first point in Third Job should be Gaviota. Dice roll has a retardedly long cool down and lasts 66 seconds. Burst Fire is garbage because single target training sucks, and the damage increase is so insignificant, even if you were to use it, it would be detrimental since it's so much slower and wastes damage on mobs. Octopus only hits a single target, therefore sucks. Level 1 Flamethrower and Ice Splitter are useless. Homing is useless.
Gaviota? 440% mob on 3 every five seconds at no cast time. If there's no monsters, you can keep summoning it, and get a quick burst of damage when things spawn. It'll outrange your Invisible Shot so it can help you lure, and it's just plain awesome. Too bad there's only room for 21 Gaviota in every build because of stupid prerequisites. After that, max Flamethrower to mob. There are actually some Fire Weak mobs in 7x. Then, max Ice Splitter. Dark Sand Dwarf thingers in Magatia are great for EXP and money and are weak to Ice (proven by the fact that 50% of the channels in KMS are held by botting Arch Mages). Then get Dice to improve damage. Follow up with getting to 21 Gaviota for more mobbing damage. Do Octopus next because it doesn't waste mobbing time like Burst Fire. If you want to kill a stray monster, you're better off just ignoring it until it walks into a tighter mob, or luring it. Then get Burst Fire because Homing sucks. Then max Homing because it's a prerequisite for Advanced Homing.
And in case you really have to ask why Burst Fire is so late: There are no single target training maps. Unless you consider getting 1/4 the exp you'd get mobbing training.
