In terms of missing hitboxes, Bigfoot (KB and part of the magic attack), Elder Wraith (2nd part of KB), and Extra D (standing still) definitely do, I've never noticed it with Firebrands, and Wolf Spiders are just generally glitchy =x I've had them display nametags even when I had that option turned off.

As such, to keep him knockbacked, you have to hit him in that small duration partway through the attack (while he's in the air), then wait until it ends, and the dust is completely cleared. Or as a ranged attacker, you can just keep him KB'd far enough that he never uses it... but it's not easy.
