I'm not entirely surprised at the way they have addressed the issue. It isn't any different from last time.
I say this happens:
The SC tonight will go through, it still won't be fixed after the SC. An emergency SC will be implemented to fix it. Another message will be posted saying that they are able to track illegitimate mesos. A wave of mesos wiping will occur, effecting mostly the innocent. Hackers will get away scot free. Then there'll be a second outbreak and the entire cycle will repeat itself.
Or...a 1 day rollback that should quell most of the excess mesos introduced. Unfortunately I'm sure the prices of 10 att wg's will still be ~240m and apples at 13mil as they were during most of last week when only a select few knew.
