Aside from everything that's in my only blog post (of which a few things in there might be a rather bad idea in hindsight), I want the legend to be useful in boss fights for things other than pure damage. Oh, and attack skills that aren't rehashes of any existing Archer skills. (Triple Shot and Wild Shot, I'm looking at you.) Preferably, the Archer legend would either be Lightning, Wind, and/or Holy based.
Ideas for party skills:
- Something that reduces damage taken along with preventing knockback when you are ducking/climbing a rope.
- (Status effect) Being able to inflict a status effect on mobs and bosses that causes their attacks to have a flat 20% rate of missing (meaning that if an affected boss uses a full screen attack and it is calculated to miss due to the status effect, it will miss everyone)
- (Status effect) Being able to inflict a status effect on mobs that causes them to take more damage from attacks (from any source), depending on their speed stat. Every 20% speed slower results in additional 2% damage, bottoming out at 0% speed, meaning immobile mobs would take 10% additional damage from every attack. Mobs with 100% speed or more (the speed of a Mapler) will not be affected. (Bowmasters' Hamstring and Mages' Slow should be modified to work on bosses for this reason.) Or even better, subtract from PDRate and MDRate (although that's assuming I correctly understand how it works).
- Something that restores HP and MP over time (like 10% HP and 5% MP every second or something), which would be invaulable for those affected by potion lock AND Zombify.
