"This comic represents me because sometimes I think about too many things, then my head explodes. I get a terrible headache fom thinking and I can’t sleep."

Prepositions and articles:
from - preposition. (modifies meaning of verb phrase "get a headache" with relation to noun phrase "thinking")
about - preposition. (modifies meaning of verb phrase "think" with relation to noun phrase "too many things")
a - article. (introduces "headache" in det+noun construction)

Because - a conjunction.
Represents - a verb.
This - Phrase level: noun phrase. Word level: demonstrative pronoun.

articles are actually a form of determiner. Determiners precede nouns in English grammar and in a grammatical analysis, if the determiner isn't present you generally have to say "no determiner" rather than leave it out. So actually articles are quite important and regular.
