what did event viewer have to say about it? Did you check that?

I'm guessing a kernel power report event 41.

But try to post the details.

This could very well be a GPU problem with drivers. Some NVidia drivers with windows 7 were making people think they had a PSU problem, and all they had to do was remove their drivers and install standard ones. Sometimes updating drivers makes things worse.
